High Viscosity PET Chip is a type of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) chip with an elevated viscosity level. It is produced through a specialized polymerization process, resulting in a resin with a higher molecular weight. The increased viscosity makes it ideal for applications that require enhanced mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength, impact resistance, and dimensional stability.

It can also retain the original texture and basic properties of the product. Its viscosity has a significant impact and decisive significance on spinning. Compared to other raw materials for drawing and brushing, high-viscosity PET products have a relatively lower price and can effectively reduce production costs when added.

Applications

  1. High-strength polyester yarn
  2. Industrial yarn (sewing thread, safety belts, curtain fabric, warp and weft)
  3. Polyester monofilament (papermaking net, spiral net, filter net, bristle, zipper monofilament)
  4. Environmentally friendly plastic steel strips, plastic steel wires
  5. Modified PET reinforced engineering plastics
  6. PET/PBT alloys, such as adding 10% to 40% high-viscosity PET into PA6, PBT for drawing, can improve the flexibility and smoothness of monofilaments, while saving nearly 20% of production costs.
  7. Low-voltage wire outer coating, intermediate layer, and outer coating for high-voltage cables, with a maximum withstand voltage of up to 7000V
  8. PET plastic steel strips (also known as PET strapping), widely used to replace steel strips and PP strapping, becoming a new type of bundling packaging material, widely used in industries such as steel, aluminum, chemical fibers, cotton spinning, tobacco, papermaking, ceramics, woodworking, metal can making, etc.
