Antispilt Aditive

Additional information

CM-010 is a reactive toughening agent specifically designed for polyester resins, presented as a blend of white granular materials.

Its distinctive features include active functional groups, no dust during processing, easy dispersion, minimal gel points or crystalline points, and the ability to significantly increase polymer viscosity. It reduces the melt flow index, improves melt strength for stable production, and enhances compatibility in alloy systems, thereby improving the mechanical properties of end products.

Applications

It is primarily used in products such as PET, recycled PET, PET/GF, and PET/PBT alloys. Specific applications include:

  • Enhancing the toughness and low-temperature resistance of PET strapping.
  • Improving PET cast film properties.

For PET straps application:

PET strap extrusion typically requires an intrinsic viscosity (IV) range of 0.8 to 0.9 dL/g. Recycled PET, however, generally has an IV below 0.7, which necessitates IV enhancement to boost the material’s strength. Additionally, PET straps need improved resistance to splitting in the transverse direction, which can occur due to stretching in the machine direction. The special formulation of CM-010 not only enhances the IV but also serves as an anti-split additive, improving both strength and durability.

Application Resutls

The PET/CM-010 blend significantly improves low-temperature flexibility, crack resistance, and processing stability, making it ideal for durable applications in extreme cold conditions.
