Modified Precipitated Barium Sulfate is a specialized functional filler widely used in various industries, including coatings, plastics, and rubber. It is produced by modifying the properties of precipitated barium sulfate through surface treatment or chemical processes. This modification enhances its dispersibility, whiteness, and particle size distribution, resulting in improved performance in applications.

Product Details:

Nanoprecipitated Barium Sulfate for Engineering Plastics

Barium sulfate, with a molecular weight of 233.39, is a colorless orthorhombic crystal or white amorphous powder. It’s environmentally friendly, inert, and stable.

Barium sulfate is widely used for:

  1. As filler: in various coatings, PCB inks, pigment inks, modified plastics, high-gloss PP, transparent masterbatches, color masterbatches, elastomers, synthetic fibers, papermaking, cosmetics, and more.
  2. In medicine: as a contrast agent for gastrointestinal imaging (known as barium meals) and medical imaging fibers.
  3. As shielding material against radiation in nuclear facilities, atomic energy plants, X-ray laboratories.
  4. As noise insulation in drainage pipes, speakers, etc.

Product Features

  1. Particle size <100 nm for high transparency
  2. Reduces paint sagging during coating
  3. Improved interlayer adhesion and film hardness
  4. Ultra-high glossiness and fullness on the product surface
  5. High whiteness, acid/alkali resistance, and weather resistance
  6. Stable effects on both inorganic and organic pigment

Application

Can be widely applied in various automotive coatings, ink colorants, industrial coatings, architectural coatings, wood coatings, engineering plastics, etc.
