PETG chips (resin) are a transparent, amorphous copolyester and thermoplastic copolymer. Our PETG chips are modified amorphous polyester, achieved by partially replacing ethylene glycol with NPG or CHMD. PETG is widely used in industries such as sheet materials, films, high-performance shrink films, pharmaceuticals, and profiles. Additionally, it has excellent secondary processing capabilities, making it suitable for both conventional and precision processing.

Product Details:

PETG chips (resin) are a transparent, amorphous copolyester and thermoplastic copolymer. Our PETG chips are modified amorphous polyester, achieved by partially replacing ethylene glycol with NPG or CHMD.

PETG products offer high transparency, toughness, stable quality, excellent heat resistance, and strong film-forming ability, making them ideal for molding thick-walled transparent products. PETG exhibits outstanding processing and molding performance, allowing designers to create any desired shape. It can be processed through various methods, including extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and thermoforming.

PETG is widely used in industries such as sheet materials, films, high-performance shrink films, pharmaceuticals, and profiles. Additionally, it has excellent secondary processing capabilities, making it suitable for both conventional and precision processing.

Features

  • High Transparency

4. Electronics: Protective casings and clear displays for electronic devices.

How do NPG/CHDM impact PETG performance as third monomers?

NPG (Neopentyl Glycol) and CHDM (1,4-Cyclohexanedimethanol) are two key third monomers used to modify PETG. They have different effects:

Parameter NPG (Neopentyl Glycol) CHDM (1,4-Cyclohexanedimethanol)
Structure Straight-chain, stable Ring structure, rigid
Key Advantage High transparency, toughness Better heat resistance, rigidity
Disadvantage Lower heat resistance Slightly reduced transparency
Dosing 5% – 15% 10% – 30%
Processing Lower melt viscosity, easy to process Higher melt viscosity, requires higher processing temperatures
Applications High-end cosmetic packaging, medical tools Heat-resistant food packaging, industrial parts
